Pokémon Companion privacy policy

Pokémon Companion is a companion app for Pokémon GO players and their friends. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we use it, and your choices.
Data we collect
- Account data: email address, display name, trainer ID, and authentication information when you sign in with Google or email/password.
- Profile data: optional profile photo or avatar, region/city preference, and app settings.
- Social features: contacts you add, direct messages you send, and optional live location shares with contacts you choose.
- Location data: precise location for maps, nearby raids and gyms, weather, optional live shares with contacts you choose, and optional community raid/gym reports; approximate location (city or region) stored on your profile when you grant location access.
- Community contributions: optional gym/raid reports and bug reports, including optional screenshots you attach.
How we use data
- Provide sign-in, cloud save, contacts, messaging, maps, and raid coordination features.
- Operate and secure the service using Firebase (Google).
- Investigate bug reports and improve the app.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. Location shares and direct messages are visible only to the contacts you choose. We use Google Firebase to host accounts and stored app data.
Retention and security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Live location shares expire automatically. You can request account deletion at any time.
